The Government of Catalonia showcased their new MyWay app at the #mobilitat2015 event in Barcelona. It’s an exciting Apple iOS and Android app that could help travelers get around cities.
The Polisnetwork website contains news about ‘European Cities and Regions Networking For Innovative Transport Solutions’. In October 2015 they covered the launch of the MY WAY multi-modal mobility app. The app includes a meta planning concept which combines the different modes of transport found in cities, including train, bus and tram public transport, plus cars, taxis, bikes and even e-scooters.
City planners estimate that as many as 30% of cars on the roads at any one time are just cruising around looking for a parking. Apps like MY WAY could help to get motorists out of their cars and into other modes of transport. Visitors to cities – and the millennial demographic, who often prefer not to own cars – will also find multimodal transport apps like MyWay invaluable.

“The Government of Catalonia has organized the ‘MY WAY Conference’ in Barcelona where the new multimodal mobility App on iOs and Android has been presented. The App includes a journey planner with a meta-planning concept including all modes of transport: public transport, private car, e-scooters, own bicycle, bicycle scheme sharing or taxi.
”
Moreover, The MYWAY App takes into account the users’ preferences and profile in order to calculate the different combinations, provides real time information, the possibility to activate the ‘trip follower’ with the replanning of the trip and booking of some mobility services like taxi or e-scooter.
